The 24-year-old YouTuber has been uploading to the site since he was just 13 years old and now has over 100 million subscribers on his main channel alone. What started as let’s plays and theory videos has quickly turned into an empire that’s taken the world by storm.

In fact, MrBeast is best known for his expensive pranks and giving away thousands of dollars to strangers, but how does he make his money? For a long time, it was through YouTube and sponsorships. Now, it seems he has a new notch to add to his belt - and it’s already popular. After all, it didn’t take long to see 10,000 people swarm MrBeast’s grand restaurant opening.

10,000 people gathered in New Jersey to support MrBeast

If you were anywhere near the American Dream Mall in Secaucus, New Jersey, on September 4, 2022, you might have noticed that things were pretty chaotic. After all, the space was never designed to host an estimated 10,000 people lining up in the hopes of seeing a YouTube megastar, but that’s precisely what happened when MrBeast announced he would be at the grand opening of his restaurant. It’s reported people lined up from the day before as everyone wanted to spot the YouTube star - and get a taste of his burgers from the first physical store. 

MrBeast Burger has been in operation since December 2020

Believe it or not, but MrBeast Burger has been around since December 2020. So why has it taken so long for a restaurant to open? That’s because it’s been run as a delivery-only chain for the last 18 months, running out of thousands of kitchens across the world. In fact, it’s estimated that MrBeast Burger made a staggering $100 million in seven months alone, meaning a brick-and-mortar location seemed almost inevitable to many.

He claims he sold more burgers than any other store in one day

Of course, there’s a good chance that if MrBeast does something, it’s going to be the biggest and most outrageous thing it could be. That’s allegedly the case for the grand opening of his restaurant. MrBeast claims that he sold more burgers from his store in one day than anywhere else in the world, but the Guinness Book of Records is yet to make it official. Whatever the case, there’s no denying that people couldn’t wait to dine at MrBeast Burger for themselves. 

This isn’t MrBeast’s first dabble in the food industry

It turns out MrBeast and his burger adventure is far from his first dip in the world of food. In January 2022, the YouTube star also launched a company called Featables. This is a chocolate company that comes complete with MrBeast Bars, but that’s not all. Beast Philanthropy came in October 2020 and has opened food pantries across North Carolina to “address the food insecurity needs” in the area. It seems his restaurant is yet another way he’s taking over the food industry.

Love him or hate him, MrBeast might be one of the most successful YouTube stars of all time. 10,000 people certainly agree, with some driving for 15 hours just to try a burger for themselves. One thing is for certain, attracting crowds like this could be all some malls need to bring them back from the edge.
