It’s hard to interpret a message like this any way other than one - takis are on the way out. Could Trader Joe’s really be discontinuing one of their most popular snacks, though?

For some, the news of Trader Joe’s takis being discontinued won’t be a big deal. That’s because these products have been hard to come by recently. Many have reportedly found them to be frequently out of stock or in low supply across the nation. So, them disappearing forever wouldn’t be that much different from the current situation. However, some on Reddit have suggested there may still be hope for Trader Joe’s takis. They pointed out that discontinued dates can differ between locations, meaning the takis could still be around for a while yet in parts of the US. Plus, it’s possible that they’re only being discontinued because of an issue with their supplier. If such a problem was resolved, the takis could come back.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that Trader Joe’s takis will make a return or that parts of the US will continue to stock them for a while yet. So, some fans of the product have started the mourning process now, aware it will save some potential heartache later on. People did praise Trader Joe’s for actually making them aware of the takis being discontinued, given this doesn’t happen often. However, that still didn’t make the loss of this beloved snack any better. After all, the takis were one of the runners-up for Favorite Snack at the Trader Joe’s 2022 Customer Choice Awards. If they’re one of the most popular snacks that the store sells, why would they suddenly take them away?

With any luck, Trader Joe’s takis will be back soon, or maybe it’ll turn out that this whole ordeal was all a big misunderstanding. We guess we’ll just have to wait for answers on that one.
